Is webbox dry complete dog food good for staffys?? I have bought some for my two staffys they enjoy it but am really interested in what other people think of it. I had them on baker's for about a year and then i found out it was like giving a child sweeties. Any help would be great thanks Smile

I don't think I've heard of it. Could you maybe get a hold of the ingredients list and copy/paste them here? Or if you have a bag at home, maybe take a photo of the ingredients list?

iv been looking online for the ingredients but seems hard to find a breakdown but at only £12 for 15kg is not going to be great

Re: webbox dry complete dog food????
I don't think it's a good quality food. I walk past the Webbox factory allot on my walks as it's in Blackburn and by the smell that comes from there I would say it's not good

Re: webbox dry complete dog food????
hey man webbox is a terrible food especially when it comes to their Chubb rolls as it gives dog worms.. if u can afford it man try get your dogs onto wainwright, thats what my staffys are on its like £40 for a 15kg bag ... it has all they need in it and its hypoallergenic too
best of luck
PS cheap food gives bad results for your dogs health and well being as there has been a recall on pedigree dry food after it poisoned an american guys labrador and its supposed to be a 'GOOD' brand

Re: webbox dry complete dog food????
I'm not so sure about the food giving dogs worms. Also, while I agree that Pedigree is a poor quality food for dogs in general, not all of the cheaper brands are bad. That's why it's best to look at the ingredients of each individual product before looking at the price.
Staffy123, if you can take a look at the ingredients, the things to watch out for are:
Wheat, rice, maize, etc. (these are common allergens for dogs and should never be the first ingredient in a dog food)
Meat (this should be the first ingredient in dog food, as the first ingredient is the main ingredient. Dogs, as carnivores, need meat to be their primary food source)
Colourings and additives (not at all healthy for dogs and should be avoided - a tell tale sign is brightly or multi-coloured food)

Personally, after checking their website, I wouldn't continue to buy from them. They don't have the ingredients listed, which suggests that it's a poor quality of food.
We have a page of recommended dry food, if you want to take a look:

Re: webbox dry complete dog food????
ok guys thanks alot, i have only bought the 1 bag as i needed them both off baker's. I cant really aford £40 for 15kg as i have 3 kids under the age of 5 aswel. I will keep everything in mind about that ingredients i.e. meat should be first. All i will need to do is shop around. thanks again people really happy i got all this info

Re: webbox dry complete dog food????
Yes, although make sure you introduce it slowly - some dogs are chicken intolerant, like mine.
I'm not an expert though, so you may want to consider asking Ella - she raw feeds her dogs and knows a lot about that stuff.

Sorry, but I'm afraid we don't allow advertising on here. If you'll look on the thread you started about the website though, I replied with an alternative way of doing it.Darylkstaffy wrote:yea get some chicken fillet and portion and freeze them HOWEVER add a guy called [name removed]. he runs a website called raw to the bones and help sort out great raw meals and remedies for ur dog for cheap as hell

Is there a reason you were looking at only chicken? Also, do you mean feeding them only on chicken and nothing else at all?Staffy123 wrote:It would be safe for them to go on pure chicken for there main source of food? It just popped into my head lol

Re: webbox dry complete dog food????
Am afraid you will soon get an ill dog if you feed him solely on chicken whether raw or cooked!
You can feed chicken as part of a raw or homecooked diet, but both need thorough research and a good variety of foods!
