A big week of firsts :)
Stayed at home by myself for the first time this week .. was only for an hour. I just fell asleep on the lounge but mum seemed extra excited when she got home and nothing was chewed .. I think she thinks we have a rat problem
Had my first day of intermediate obedience as well - some of the people there seemed quite scared of me and pulled their dogs away ... not really sure why, I was just saying hello! But that's okay, the lady trainer gave me special homework because she said I was ahead of the other dogs (mum said i could poke my tongue at them if I liked )
I also went to the cafe for the first time. Mum was a bit nervous with all the people and dogs around and asked for a cage for me, she didn't need to though .. I was on my best behaviour! I ordered an organic lamb muffin and a puppachino .. loved the muffin, the froth on my puppachino kept going up my nose though

And .... I went to the beach for the first time - sure mum will post pics of that in the gallery soon

The cafe idea is fabulous - we have nothing like it here - no dog friendly pubs/restaurants etc. Would love to open something like it. Very lucky boy

The dog friendly cafe is a really great idea .. the one we went to is fantastic, the people are friendly and your dog can be right next to you instead of having to be tethered or caged away from the eating area - they even have a full two and four legged menu
While it is great to have something, unfortunately our state is only just catching on to the idea of dog friendly dining - so there only about 8 cafes (as said though, not all of these are great unfortunately) within a reasonable driving distance (under 2 hours) from us. Would be a great business idea

Wow, love that cafe! Such a good idea! I find that Australia is not that dog-friendly when it comes to being able to bringing dogs with you! Not even allowed on public transport!

What a great way to spend an hour, which more places around here were doggy friendly too.

It was a huge menu too ... starters, snacks, mains, desserts and drinks (hot and cold) just for the fur people - they even do doggy birthday parties complete with your choice of doggy birthday cake and take home treats for your furry friend guests!!

I agree Annie - I see all the pics on here with pooches in pubs and on trains etc ... would be great if we could do that here as well! A cafe is a good start though

As I said in a comment above Kathy, it is only just starting to take off around here ... was really nice to be able to go out for the day with Chiquito and actually be able to sit down to eat somewhere though

Aw so cute, Ireland is not very dog friendly either I definitely don't think we have any dedicated doggy cafe's, though some places will let you sit out with your dog..
