I am not sure about the exact ages,( can't remember back to when Jethro was a baby! )but I do remember reading when your puppy is teething give him a carrot or bone or something like that , that you have put in the fridge for abit. The coolness really soothes their gums. Smile

Bodhis teeth started falling out at 3 and a half months, they have been nothing but trouble since! We wet and then froze some of his rope toys and froze banana and carrot for him to chew on, he's a little nippy when they are really hurting him. Grr teeth

at wits end

Thank you all , taken it all on board and will try him with it all, his teeth are like razors. He had his breakfast and also had slice finger Laughing I was playing with him with his rope, he let go and tried to away but he was too quick and what he thought was the rope was actually my thumb, this is 3rd time this week, would have thought i would have learnt after the first time Laughing

You never really learn! I still get caught sometimes by Dempsey and he's nearly 2 years!

3 months is early for teething, but not too early. The teeth could be starting to loosen and might be irritating him, so giving him something to chew on (frozen carrots really do work!) is the way to go. Also, the puppy teething rings (nylabone are the best) are useful - I've still got Dempsey's & he still sometimes chew it!

Think i am going to put one of his rope in the freezer later and see how he goes, he hasn't been too bad today, he ate his breakfast and lunch all up, put his food down to 1 and a half hands of food as he doesn't seem to eat 2 handfuls at the moment, he been for a walk and trips and outside and napped on my chair Smile

Now the fun starts! I thought Nala, who is 18 weeks old now, was the perfect little puppy, but this last week she hasn't half become lively in the evenings despite her walks! She constantly chews, she knows that she can get away with it with the kids so is far worse with them, bites their shoes all the time!! She isn't so bad with us, but I'm just hoping the change in personality (ie she up until last week would come in the loung with us and curl up and sleep most of the night), whereas this week she doesn't seem to be able to settle propery and chewing constantly! Hopefully she will grow out of it!

Nylabones are great, we have three, well they help anyway, however when she's left alone for any amoount of time she has resorted to chewing my door frame and skirting board!!! Thank god I haven't decorated my kitchen yet!

Good luck!

A sign of a puppy teething is the ears dropping if you notice the change of ear placement then its a good indication

that's interesting. I think I do remember Fritz's ears changing when he started loosing his teeth and when they grew in his ears settled to the "normal" position. hmmmm
