There are varying opinions on this issue. The concern comes from the idea that early neutering can affect growth plates and therefore may stunt their growth.

They are likely to be taller, but not have the same sort of muscle mass that they would have done before neutering

Also there are a lot of health benefits to keeping them entire especially up until 2 years old and IMO forever

Early neutering delays the closure of the growth plates leading to a taller, narrower dog than it would otherwise have been. It shouldn't affect muscle mass - that would depend entirely on quality of food, good exercise and genes.

There are other prblems associated with early neutering, including non growth of the genitals of females and mentality not changing past the puppy stage.
