HELP!!!!
Darcy has possibly eaten 1/2 of an anadin ibuprofen ingriedients are 200g of ibruprofen. I've called 3 different vets who told me that she needs watching and to try make her sick (using fingers). But the RSPCA said she'll need her stomach pumping, I'm at my whits end I've given her charcoal biscuits & she is fine in herself but I'm worried if I leave her & do nothing then any complications may be irreversible. Plz help thx in advance.

Re: HELP!!!!
You need to keep an eye on her and try some charcoal biscuits but what on EARTH is with vets telling people to stick their fingers down their dogs throats! This is really making me angry.
Do NOT do that.

Re: HELP!!!!
I'd go with the majority and keep an eye on her, but if anything worries you, best bet would be to go to the vets to be safe.

Going to the vets being the operative. There is no point phoning they will just tell you rubbish like to stick your hand down their throat!
p.s. use a different vet!

Something tells me she may have crunched it up but would most likely spit it out as they taste absolutely VILE! I'm hoping for the best for you. Keep a very close eye on her. I'm in agreement with everyone on the "fingers down throat" thing, I don't like that at all.

Re: HELP!!!!
I actually rang back to see if I'd misheard only to be told the same thing, hence I will not be using their service.

Re: HELP!!!!
Glad to hear she's well. Puppies are a nightmare for being able to find things they shouldnt be eating. Don't beat yourself up about it. I think she would have shown signs by now.
I'm still adamant she'd have spat what she had out. Logan used to eat little stones and he'd have crunched away at them but after a few seconds they would have been spat out.
