Will she become darker in colour?
She is currently 14 weeks and both her parents are pedigree Australian champion red staffy's. She is a light shade of red at present with a black mask and am wondering will she get darker?

I shouldn't think she'll get too much darker. I think her colouring's beautiful!

I thought I replied- hmmmm Not sure? Sorry if I have posted/replied to this already!
No not at all I love her just the way she is. I was just interested as both her parents were very red.

I don't think she will change too much. But if I were you I wouldn't want her to anyway, she looks totally perfect. If you have any more pics let us admire!

I would say that there's some lighter reds in her ancestry.
She has the most beautiful face!

I don't think she will darken much. They tend to stay a similar shade to when they are pups. She has a lovely mask

Re: Will she become darker in colour?
She won't become vibrant red like her parents were but she will darken ever so slightly with seasonal differences. My girl is very dark in winter and shoe a lot of brindle in summer.

Re: Will she become darker in colour?
Thanks, we think she is beautiful but we are her parents. Yes, she has beautiful eyes and is full of expression! But do not be fooled she is still a puppy and gets herself into all sorts of mischief! She had a running in with a cactus yesterday Not badly but still not good! We had fenced a small section of our big garden off and that is where the cactus was...... but Honey decided to get into it and play with it!!! She is fine now after sticky tape to get the prickles off.
