Old Dog/New Dog
We adopted our Staffie nearly two years ago and she will be 9yrs old this year. She has the best temperament and is a lovely girl, who wants to play with other dogs when she is out, but other owners are wary and often cross the road just because of the bad press Staffies receive. We got a puppy a few weeks ago, a female Staff but our older one isn't keen she walks away from her and ignores her. If they are out together the older one wants to play with puppy, rolling her over to get her into a submissive position, to show who is boss. Littl'un is quite happy with this and is not in anyway intimidated by her big companion, even when being barked at to encourage her to run and play. Any ideas how I can get them to become friends inside the house? We are having all the usual issues with puppy re biting etc, but we are persisting and realise these things take time. The biggest problem we have though is she howls and cries if I even walk out of the room or move seat, she is even worse if I try to crate her. I don't want to annoy the neighbours or bring undue stress to puppy. Any advice would be great as I have never had a Staff puppy before and know they have traits all of their own, compared with other breeds.

Tommy has been with us for nearly 7 months now and Tilly still has her moods with him and ignores him sometimes , most important is to let them find each other and not force them together, what about some tug games etc
