Logan is a qualified pup!

Well, Logan is finally a Kennel Club Good Puppy! He passed everything on his course and got 39 passes.(His friend Izzy won 'Best Pup' with 40 passes so he was only 1 away) He won a little special bag of treats for being 'Best Loose Lead Walker'. And he did a perfect sit and wait (which we hadn't really practised before) while i picked up a fake poo the trainer had put down! I was soooooo happy! I couldnt stop smiling! I'm so proud of my boy!!

yeah its done by the kennel club. They do a scheme for dog training. Kennel Club Good Citizen i think its called. They do puppy level,Bronze,Silver and Gold. Its all about teaching basics in puppy class then they go up in difficulty. Hes done really well so far. The bronze starts next week but were going away for the weekend so will miss the 1st class! I only wanted to take him to the puppy one for socialising, but he did well learning things too!

that good.... does kennel club give a list of place around the uk for these classes? because that could be good for the website

The only place around here that does the good citizen awards is a private guy who charges the earth for it! So Dempsey never got the chance - not that he'd have been any good anyway!

awwww......poor Dempsey. Is he really that thick? (no offence)
It cost me £69 for the course. 1 x 60 min session per week for 6 weeks. not sure how much the next one is. Dont know if it was expensive, it was the one nearest me and suitable times for us. The other ones were during the day which is no good if you work! We did Sundays!

I'm afraid he is pretty dim.

The guy near me runs a dog training club every week which he charges £5 for 1 hour. But he doesn't do the good citizen award in Northampton - the nearest, I think, is Corby which is a loooooong way away! So I'd have to get private lessons which charges an extortionate fee (£375 for a four day course!)!

Thanks guys. I still cant stop smiling! Bless him. Only thing is....now when i ask him to sit and wait...he just looks at me as if to say'yeah right!' then puppys off somewhere!!
