Our little patients

Yesterday morning we took Roxy to the vet after we had taken her 2 weeks ago about a sore on her face that Vinny kept nipping at. It hadn't gone away and she had also broken out in bumps along her shoulders. She was diagnosed with demodectic mange (spelling?!) and we have started her dips and some anitbiotics for the bumps which are a secondary infection as a result of the mites. Poor thing.

Yesterday afternoon Vinny started breaking out in similar bumps, but all over his body and the poor little lad was very agitated - running up and down, itching and crying and wouldn't let me come near him. Back to the vet. He had been stung by a wasp - so an anti-inflammatory injection for him and 2 antihistamines this morning.

Last night he was very anxious - normally a good sleeper, he cried all night and kept hitting himself against the baby gate. Went to get him this morning and found him shivering outside on the bricks. Brought him in to Roxy to warm up and he had a good snooze and seems a-ok. I am putting that down to possibly starting teething (he is 12 weeks today) but it may have been an all round anxious day for them.
