Where's my shy puppy gone??!
Reggie has been a wee terror today!
Got him a week yesterday & he turned 7 weeks on Friday.
Settled in really well with house training & seems to know the daily routine with going to bed at nights ect.
He does still whine but I'm thinking that's for the toilet as its not until around 5:30am and we get up at 6am most days.
Yesterday he pretty much slept the whole day & today...oh my god is he making up for it?! He has been hyper, running round crazy. Grabbing everything in site, shaking it, playing with it etc. He's not listening to a word we say so this morning was abit of a clash of dominance with him & us lol, he was sent to his bed afew times as he wasn't listening at all, causing damage.
Is this him settled in now & THIS is his true character??!

He's still teeny 7wks old and technically should still be with mom and litter mates where he would learn a lot from mom.
He will change a heck of a lot.
He won't really start doing as he's told for a while yet ! The first few weeks he will be finding his feet and settling.
Best thing u can do is stay calm assertive and consistent.
X enjoy !

Worth bearing in mind that, strangely, not enough sleep can make them hyper as well as not being tired out.
They do need a lot of sleep as puppies.
Bacchus is 5 months and still has regular cat naps ( or dog naps if you prefer ).
Once he gets out for decent length walks it will help.

Yep. Loki was an angel the first couple of days, just sniffing about and following me like a shadow, sitting whenever I stopped. So cute ...then the demon came out . Just watch him like a hawk and be consistent in your training. They can be so stubborn, you just need to be more than they are.

Ive said it before puppies have energy to burn , i was worn out playing with Duke those few weeks he couldn't go out , but it was worth it, it doesn't take long to tire them out tug of war and chase ball does the trick , get the toys out

He's a baby puppy and playful, he'll have fits of madness when he WON'T listen to you, and fits of sleeping which you will be grateful for. Enjoy his puppy days!

Could be a sign that he is comfortable in his new home. They have lots of energy and will get it out one way or the other
