Did you get her from a rescue? Did they tell you of any injuries or limp? The sleepiness dosen't sound normal to me, not for a young pup.. I am not very experienced in things like this but I would consider taking her for a checkup with the vet. Hopefully some of our more experienced members will be able to offer some better advice Big Grin

I would phone the rescue centre immediately & ask if there were any problems, then make an appointment at your vets. Sleeping for that long isn't really normal, although she might be one of those dogs that sleeps off anxiety. I'd be a little concerned about the limp as well.

Is she eating & drinking ok?

Blue did this for the first week or so. He would just stand and shivver any time we took him outside for the toilet and when he walked outside he would have this limp that would go from one side to the other every 5 mins or so. I figured it was just an anxiety thing as the limp was pretty likely to get me to pick him up and check his feet/play with him.

just persisted with taking him outside an hes fine now.

took her to the vets the day after and she has kennel cough and a rare bone disease called panisteitis. its like arthritis but inside the bones not joints. treating her with pain relief and she should just grow out of it. there is no scientific proof of why dogs develop this disease and there is no cure.
