When we rescued Miley or (shirley) thats what they called her at the resue centre, we bought her a bone when she chewed it up in bits she buried all the bits in the garden and then decided to bring them back in the house 2 weeks later at wits end

Suki digs but we don't have a yard so she has to hide things in blankets and other creative places in the house

Dempsey digs, but hasn't quite learned how to bury properly - he digs the garden, his bedding anything soft, really. Mostly he tries to bury food, but it never really works!

No. None of the seven staffies/staffy crosses I've owned or fostered have been remotely interested in digging.

The hound-type dogs have, though.

Moo hasn't a garden, but doesn't mind burrowing when out, then she sniffs her hole and sounds like a pig grunting, leaps off and digs another! Crazy lady lol Xx

Loki hasn't inherited the "OMG, MUST DIG" trait Staffs seem to have. Never had to teach him not to, he just isn't a fan. Doesn't like the mud anyway Laughing

Dempsey's quite a good digger, though he can be lazy with it. Quite often, he just kicks dirt and mud across the garden path. He's never quite figured out the art of burying, though. He'll drop an object and start digging, and then walk away later without burying it. Tongues

I find it amusing when he comes back in the house from the garden during the summer. He'll have this innocent 'Who, me?' expression. And mysteriously, there'll be dirt scuffed all over his nose, legs, belly and chest. Laughing

Not a huge digger .. does have his fave spots in the garden to bury things or dig a hole to sleep in though. He also digs at the grass when the crickets are out - always stops and looks shocked when the noise stops though Laughing

Glad to hear it is not just Chiquito that does this!
