Re: SBT food?
I fed Pero SBT, Bailey done well on it but most times I had to add stuff to it when he was getting bored with it! I added Nature Diet wet, sardines, raw egg and shell etc!

Re: SBT food?
Ella can i ask about your raw diet method, is it suitable for a 4month old puppy and whats better about it than your commercial dry food? Ive never fed raw before but would be interested x

Re: SBT food?
A raw diet is basically raw meat bones and offal. People wean pups on to it and so they never have kibble or wet food.
To me it is a species appropriate diet for a dog and there are many health benefits including the big one which is dental.
If you interested then i suggest you do some research into it heres some links for you

Re: SBT food?
Ledger is doing really well on Pero he sometimes isn't bothered in the morning but like me he likes a hot breakfast so I sometimes add some hot water and let it cool in its own gravy while I do my breakfast he never turns his nose up at his 5pm tea though.
He was a bit farty and had softer when we first changed but he is now better than he was on JWB and its nearly half the price which is a bonus. He seems to have bulked up a bit whilst on it and looks better for it and his coat seems softer and glossier. There are better foods out there but there are also much worse as long as he is doing well on it and is happy eating it I'll keep stocked up on it
They did do trial bags which came with a free box of treats, a free bag and a voucher for £5 off the first order which is worth a try

Re: SBT food?
i found pero great infact unlike others memphis never tired of it and eat it every time without any problems and it give a lovely coat and body condition.
now he is on raw which i dont think gives him better condition but as good as the pero .and my main reason for changing him to raw is you know exactly what there eating and you can give a varied diet not the same thing day in day out .
but if dry the way you want to go i really cant say anything bad about pero to me its as good as any top quality dry food and a little cheaper than some

Re: SBT food?
Debo was on Pero, the coats was great, every one comment on that. Nice shape. His poo was green and a lot of it. . After few months on it he got diarrheas,so we had to change him to jwb. And now he's on f4ds but got really bored with eat. But Debo has verrrry sensitive tummy, any change in the diet he will react. He didn't want to eat eukanuba and he pooped 5-6 times a day while on it

Re: SBT food?
I'm not a fun of eukanuba. As said before,Debo didn't want to eat it and was pooing like crazy ,5-6 times a day. I would change. Pero is a good food,Debo loved it just didn't tolerate it.

Re: SBT food?
just a quick update on my boys eating probs..jola139 i have defo noticed a big stepup in the number of poos my boy does in the day in the last 2 months.. it really is hard to believe it must be 6 or or sometimes more. i have tryed mixin a few things he might be fine that day next day back pickin. he has raised bowls and have even seen him pick out eukanabu leave on floor and eat what was mixed with it? what bothhers me is he is out for a good run about in the mornin and bout an hour a night he sleeps like a log no probs but i fear eukanabu is not givin him what he needs so will be lookin for summit else and bring it in gradualy...

Re: SBT food?
Everyone here will tell that pooing 6 times a day is not good. He doesn't get the good staff from his food because everything is coming out. Try Pero or James wellbeloved or wainwright's,all cheaper then eukanuba but much better. Compare ingredients when at pah next time, you'll see the difference. Good luck.

Re: SBT food?
I feed Orijen Puppy. It appears expensive but if you can stretch to it I find I can serve smaller portions because of the quality and Bacchus is thriving on it.
I also give him a teaspoon of Fish4dogs salmon oil daily mixed through his kibble. Just for variety lunch often consists of eggs, scrambled or raw, boiled boneless chicken, raw chicken wings, or a sardine mashed through his kibble.

Re: SBT food?
latest update with our boy..switched to hills scienceplan over the past couple of days and also changed feeding times to first thing before his walk[8.30 a.m][used to be when he came back] and a bit earlier in the evening for his second feed[5 before 2nd walk] but i find he is not eating as much in the morning feed as he used to when he was fed after his morning walk.. seems happier with the bigger kibble though cut right back on treats[to a bear min]. pets at home was a great laugh after explaning to shop assistant about thinkin of summit else she says well this side i would stay away from which just left about 30 diffrent brands arden grange, wainrights, james wellbeloved hills, burns so no doubt the next few days will decide if were back in did notice the sell frozen meat turkey fish mabaye sommit to think about...

Re: SBT food?
please don't feed him just before walks you need a good hour preferably a couple before going for a walk due to the risk of bloat
