lavender
Have also posted this on the "tried and tested" board. Have been recommended to use lavender as a calming agent for Densil and wondered if anybody else had used this and if it worked. The adaptil sprays and collars and thundershirts have had no effect on him whatsoever. I have got a dogmatic collar which helps a little.

Re: lavender
It does work with some dogs.
However, it has to be lavendar essential oil & not just something lavendar scented. Put a couple of very small drops on his bedding and rub another small drop on his chest and maybe his forehead.

Re: lavender
make sure to put the oil on his fur and not directly on his skin as that could cause irritation

Re: lavender
I imagine fresh lavender works as they have it outside the kennels at Battersea Dogs Home
