dog collar making a bald patch?

got a new dog collar yesterday a nylon wainwrights padded collar, and as i washed the dog before i noticed a bald patch starting to come.... im going to leave the collar off in the day time, is their anything else i should do?

had a collar that did this to mine, so i have always taken it off unless she's going for a walk. Shes fine now

yeah im going to be doing this from now on, normally he always has the collar on though

I prefer to have the collar off in doors anyway

I've noticed this can happen too, just put the collar on for walks now and it's OK.

We had the same issue and now the Wilfmiester has a bald patch on his neck due to me and the missus not agreeing on nylon collar being on all the time...

I got my own way in the end though and now wilf only wears a collar to go out but because we took time deciding on this wilf now has a little bald neck...
