Its normal for the breaders to not vax pups as they have a natural immunaty until 8 weeks min so a waste of money and exposing pups to the vaccines at that age is useless.

I live in Liverpool and went to that Vets4Pets. It was...I don't even remember how much it cost, but it was cheaper than any other places I'd looked into. The £99 isn't needed straight away; you can pay for the needles on their own. The £99 for the boosters can be paid any time before their booster is needed. They're really great there, I'd recommend them Smile

ANattyrat we paid £99 for puppy jabs and boosters for life, there was an offer on, also the breeder said he had wormed our dog but he was in fact infested with them, so we had some advocate 40 dabbed on his neck £9.99 but it sorted the poor chap out in 4 days.

Just look for quotes on pet insurance and see what suits you best, you'll be able to compare them against each other and see the different prices and what it covers, etc.

Also, when you get your pup, be sure to come back and tell us how he's settling in, and of course post lots of pictures for us to "aaawww" over Big Grin

Actually all the ones I've seen from reputable breeders normally state first injections and microchipped at 8 weeks and then let out to their new owners. This should have been the case with Tommy but for our own reasons we took Tommy a few days early (7 weeks and 2 days) after much discussion with the breeder, and sorted ourselves out and showed them the evidence we had done it. All the other pups went at 8 weeks after their 1st injection and being chipped

I've never had a pup with 1st injections already had, and I'm glad I haven't. There are several different brands of vaccinations & your own vet might use a different one to the one the breeder has used, which might cause a reaction. I prefer to let a pup settle for a week & then go get the course started. In the meantime I take them out, carried in my arms, to as many different places as possible so that the big scary world isn't quite so scary when they do eventually get to go out.

Then I have the puppy course (two lots of vaccinations, two weeks apart) and then wait a week for walking. After that, first annual boosters followed by boosters every three years.

I think Dempsey's puppy jabs were about £45, and the booster about the same, but I can't really remember.
