Rehoming advice Empty Rehoming advice

Post by Md1ckin19 Thu Feb 16 2017, 18:46

Hi all,

I have a beautiful 7 year old Staffordshire who I have owned since she was 8 weeks old. I am
In the unfortunate position where I need to look at re homing her as she is not good with our 5 month son. We were aware of this prior to my son arriving and have had 3 different trainers try to assist us.... unfortunately to no avail.

I can't face putting her in a kennel, therefore I would appreciate anyone's advice on the best way to get her into a loving home.

Mark

So sorry to read that your little lady can't stay with you any longer. Do you have any family or friends that could give her that loving home?

If you can't find that home then please don't use any of the common pre loved websites as you really won't know who you could be passing her to. You could always ask your vet if they know of any suggestions but if all else fails then take a look at the specialist Staffy rehoming list we have here https://staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard.com/t10833-rescue-centres-list hopefully they'll be able to offer something

Thank you for your reply. My Dad would love her but the grandchildren will be visiting him so I don't think that's an option unfortunately.
I'm in no rush so I will property vet anyone who is interested- I couldn't bear to think she'd go to someone who wouldn't look after her.

Thank you for the advice- it's much appreciated

I'm so sorry to hear that, Mark. It must be heartbreaking.

Have a look at this, which might be a good option for you:

So sorry to hear this but I'd definitely say don't rehome yourself. We got Misty from a website and honestly we could have said anything just to get her. The rescue can do proper home visits and check on people. There are so many abusers out there who can act really well.

Good luck.
