Small lumps on Tangos body
[img][/img]
I noticed these on Tango when i woke up this morning. He was play fighting with my dads staff last night but he seems to have raised small bumps allover his body but mainly near back leg, I tried to get a pic but it hasn't shown up very well on it. Any advice on what they could be? He was flea and wormed last week. Thanks

Re: Small lumps on Tangos body
Sounds like an allergy or some sort. My girls get these when they are bitten or come into contact with a plant that they are allergic too. Half a teaspoon or liquid piriton (the childs one) should calm them down x

Re: Small lumps on Tangos body
Taz has had these on and off for the last couple of weeks - 3rd vet trip gave me advocate to use once a month for 3 months (previously using frontline) , explaining that they can get demodex. (no skin scrapings were taken ).
1st application didn't change anything at all & I shall apply the other two as instructed.
I tried 1/2 a piriton tablet & special anti-fungal & antibacterial shampoo & spray which didn't work either.
Sudocrem & Johnsons skin-eze cream (that contains precipitated sulphur) eased the bumps and stopped the scratching

Re: Small lumps on Tangos body
looks like an allergic reaction to something to me. An antistamine should do the trick.

Re: Small lumps on Tangos body
It's possible. Have you given the antistamine yet?

Re: Small lumps on Tangos body
We have a few stingy nettles in the garden, Kenny was covered in the same lumps. He was given Piriton by the vet. It's possibly an allegy

Re: Small lumps on Tangos body
Glad you got it sorted. I was going to tell you it was insect allergy/insect bites anyway hahaha
These bites are very very common in horses.
