Vet Says
I gave Buddy a raw frozen chicken wing yesterday (he loved it) my mate who owns a brother to buddy has been vets today for 2nd injections and must've mentioned me giving the raw chicken and vets told him don't ever give a dog raw food because it will give your dog tapeworm!!! Is the any truth in this or is the vet talking s h I t e

From the amount of people who feed raw here the vet is talking sh1te!!!!
You have to freeze it first so that kills it (I think lol) Xx

I got it from supermarket and froze it just to be sure, I feel a reyt pleb clevering off to my mate thinking I know more than vet haha, I'll be seeing him Friday for Buddy's 2nd injection gonna tell him how much he enjoyed it and maybe throw a few pics at him

When I used to raw feed my girl and I told my vet he almost had a fit ! Made ne feel the worst person on the planet !
Thankfully I didn't take much notice ! (unfortunate I had to change)
Ask ur vet if dogs are born with can openers lol !

It is possible to get tapeworm from undercooked pork but very unlikely to get it from raw chicken.
Sounds like the vet was being very over cautious.
