Thoughts/Opinions
Hey everyone, I am very new to this site and this is my second post. Basically, I wanted to know if you think my boy Stanley is a pure Staffie as he does not have a black nose and could be described as almost 'liver' in colour. People comment on his on his nose and coat colour all the time and often say that he must be a pit bull as Staffies can't be that colour.
Here are a few pics of him (he is 4 months old):
I have done some research into this and have found that Staffies can have red/brown noses and a liver coloured coat but this is highly undesirable and is considered a 'fault'.
So what do you guys think? Any thoughts/opinions are much appreciated

Re: Thoughts/Opinions
if you dont have proper kc reg papers then it very unlikey to be a full staffy,
Re: Thoughts/Opinions
Unless you are going to show him I wouldn't worry about it too much.
As Steve says, if you dont have the KC papers anyway why worry about him being full staff.
He is a gorgeous dog and just enjoy being with him for who he is.

Re: Thoughts/Opinions
I have to say he as a look of pit about him, you will tell more when he gets older, if he as pit in him the best thing you could go is get him chipped and make sure he is well trained and you there should be no problems when hes older..

Re: Thoughts/Opinions
Because of his colouring is the colouring most associate with a pit bull he is always going to be referred to as one by most ppl on the street.
He is a liver thou, not till his fully grown will it become apparent what he truly is, but at the moment he looks like a Stafford.

Re: Thoughts/Opinions
I agree with all above, he is a staff!!!
As far as colour, it states in breed standard that those colours are a fault so that means that staffies can be bread that colour!!
He looks a chilled out fella, well done in picking him!!

Re: Thoughts/Opinions
Hard to say from a photo without anything to judge his size by, but at the moment he looks like a stafford - a liver coloured stafford. Yes, it's a bad fault if you want to show him, but if you don't, then so what? He's a beauty!

Re: Thoughts/Opinions
Brilliant, thank you! I don't want to show him, he's just a family pet and we all love him to pieces regardless of his colour I was merely posting to see what everyone else thinks as I'm getting fed up of people making rude remarks and comments when I take him out for a walk

Re: Thoughts/Opinions
He is definitely a cross, but i wouldnt think pit i would think more chocolate lab due to the colour and rectangular jaw and lack of a heart head. Very cute though

Funnily enough, someone asked me the other day if he was crossed with a chocolate lab!

Re: Thoughts/Opinions
Doesn't look like a full staff to me but since he is just a family pet, well behavied and microchipped there shouldn't be any problems. Hansome fella as well
