dog food
Hello all, I was at dog training last night and was talking to the trainer. Bailey is a little over weigh, but that’s all the rawhide bones we have given him, tut tut!!
The bones will stop which is easy, when we were talking she mentioned putting him on adult food. I am unsure about this as I have read somewhere that I could keep Bailey on puppy food for 2 years, he is 6months.
An advice would be appreciated

Re: dog food
No he needn't stay on puppy food for 2 years, I'm unsure to what age he should be on adult food when I got Moo (8mnths ish) she was on adult food, I really can't see it doing any harm at all to swap now, others may disagree Xx

Absolutely! Supermarkets' own brands are very nearly as bad as Bakers, and Bakers is the pits!!

Re: dog food
I was told I could put Taz on adult at 9/10 months - and she seems a lot better on it - but I did swap to Fish4Dogs (the frst ingredient listed is meat @ 55% fish ) - with occasional raw meals
I wouldn't recommend Harrington's as the first ingredient listed is maize (no % specified) , with the second being meat 'meal' @14% then barley / rice @14% - :/

Re: dog food
Puppy food is a fad and unecessary, pups are find to go straight onto adult food. It's just a marketing gimmick.
