Is it feasible ?

To have a crate in the living room during the day then move the crate to our bedroom at night ? Or would it be too confusing ?

no i don't think it would be confusing to move the crate from room to room, we have had to do the same with marley,but now he's older his crate stays in the living room

I done that at the start with Bailey! Crate in the living room during the day, then took it upstairs to my room at night. Ended up not bothering after about 3-4 weeks and just let him have my bed lol

Agree with Steve you should keep the crate in one room

Youd have a lot of bruised chins! And yeah i agree it should stay in one place, that way the dog can "own" that place and will feel more secure.

we bought one crate for the kitchen and borrowed a second for upstairs (thinking she'll sleep on my daughter's bed or a dog bed eventually)

I don't think it would do any harm to move it but a second bed would be much easier on you.
