Re: helpp!!!!
It will settle eventually, but if you feel the pup's getting too tired or is stressed by the older dog's over playfulness, you may need to seperate them for a while each day so that the pup can relax and get some much needed rest/sleep.

Agree with all the above, do you have a crate for the puppy?
We used 2 "baby gates" to separate areas of our house when we brought Izzy home at 9 weeks. They could still see each other and we could also see what Izzy was up to. My older girl was nearly 13yrs and needed some time away from a boisterous puppy and we also wanted to limit areas for little accidents to occur.
They both need time and space apart to get used to the situation.
Have you got anyone else in the house with you, they could also help you keep them separated.

Re: helpp!!!!
I feel your "pain". Going through the exact same thing now. Maska is 11 months old and Loki is 12 weeks. The first two weeks was a nightmare, because Maska also did not leave her alone for a second, and he was not happy with this "thing" in his space. We decided to just leave it, obviously not to the point where one will get hurt, but they needed to sort each other out, by knowing each other's limits. Maska took more than enough abuse from her, and one day he just rolled her onto her back, nipped her in the neck, and things were sorted. Our pup is also very feisty for some reason, she growls and snaps, but she got put in her place. Now (4 weeks later) they are playing like champs, sleeping next to or on top of each other, and they are constantly looking for each other.
It does get better. I was just as worried in the beginning, but I didn't want to "help" the pup by picking her up, or keeping her away, because I was afraid it might cause a bit of jealousy.
Hope you come right. Push through and be patient. They do settle, and they do start enjoying each other.
