about raw food ?

hi im thinking of feeding my ella (6 months)on raw food ive read the posts other ppl have put up. but it doesnt say in plain english what to feed them i.e. what amount of raw food and what food. im thinking from what ive read chicken legs necks heart liver but not much of the liver i have to freeze all this first. is the mince food from pet shops any good for them? any help please cuz im confused. also can i start her on it straight away

Basically you want to feed roughly 2-3% of their ideal adult weight and start with one protein source to begin with, i recommend chicken carcasses or wings etc and then slowly introduce other foods over time.

Yep if you feed her a full raw diet and include all the neccessary meat, bone and offal then that has all the nutrients in that she needs. Most of us feed a raw egg once or twice a week WITH the shell if she will eat it, and don't forget to feed fish each week

If you want, you can also add some cod liver oil - a couple of teaspoons once or twice a week.

thanks for the advice. been on that site found it really good ive started ella on the raw meat and she loves it. just need to get a bigger freezer lol
