Piddling Pup! Empty Piddling Pup!

Post by KerryAnn Sun Oct 09 2011, 04:45

Our pup Paddy is pretty much toilet trained. He behaves perfectly well when needing to do his odds and sods. However, he has a habit of when having a 'face off' (nothing mad, just a play) with our cat, of piddling! I'm guessing it's territorial. But how do we get around it as our cats a house cat??

I doubt it's territorial unless he's actually lifting his leg to mark his scent. I think it's more to do with excitement & the fact that his bladder isn't quite strong enough to hold it at times like that! I would think he'll grow out of it.

Agreed it's most likely the excitement.

Aww he's adorable. Definitely sounds like an excitement thing, and as Caryll says, he should grow out of it.

Oh brilliant. Thanks so much. I did think excitement but as he never does it in 'play' with us I thought I'd check. It's just the cat Laughing
