Newbie introduction

Post by Everglade on Sun 25 Oct 2009, 19:29

Hi there,

My name is H and we got our first staffy 3 months ago. We really wanted to get a puppy but was introduced to Milo who was 12 months old. Milo had been with his family from 4 months old, his original owner had suddenly died and one of my husbands regulars (husband is a tattooist to clear up any missunderstanding) had fostered him with the intent to keep him. Unfortunitly Milo and their female staff proved to much of a handfull together and as a result Milo was never walked.
Milo was brought up in a family home with a toddler and I visited on a number of occasions and saw how content he was with children. We had him at weekends over a 4 week period to be sure he was right for us with a 5 and 7 year old, a cat the rules the house and 5 snakes watching you from various corners of the room and he fitted in perfectly.
Since having Milo we have so much fun. We have taken him on boat rides on the broads, swimming down the beach, woodland walks, all things he had never experienced.

I decided to join the forum because we have just been away for 2 days and Milo stayed with my brother and his 3 year old placid lab bitch and Milo uncharactoristicly was quite aggressive with her. This is somthing i hadnt anticipated as he is normally the submissive one with other dogs. There are also some training issues I have and would like advice on.

I will post some pics of Milo as soon as i work out how.

Look forward to trowling through the forum

H
