I should mention that she was DNA tested and is neither pit or jack. She is mostly AmStaff and a great grandparent was some sort of mix breed.

Great job for rehoming from the rescue.....and no matter what breed or mix she may be, as long as she has a nice nature/temperment and you love her, that is all that matters. My girl is far from the typical Staffy standard ( and could be crossed with anything to be honest ) but she's my baby and is loved to bits. She is such a friendly happy dog and that's all that matters to me.

Looking forward to seeing and hearing more of Kali.

The American Staffordshire Terrier (AmStaff) is basically the same breed as the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT). They have identical breed histories and they are so similar that there are dogs dual registered as AmStaffs in the AKC and APBTs in the UKC. So, AmStaff = Pit Bull. DNA tests at this point in time are not very accurate at identifying breeds, most can't even ID pure bred dogs.

Hi and welcome from me and Rocky.
Rocky is also a cross, Staffy and Border Colli although to be honest I don't see much Border Collie in him.
We regard him as being Staffy anyway, as long as they are loved and have a safe home. Kali is just adorable.

as everyone says, you love her..she loves you.. the rest is irrelevant!!

She has a great personality and is getting so much attention. She is great with her training, she can perfect a trick in 2 days and she does not forget them later like my friends puppies do. Does she look like your dogs did at 6 months? As far as size and weight? She seems long and skinny to me, but I have never seen a staffy puppy except in pictures. Her DNA results were a happy surprise because we really wanted a Staffy about a year ago, but decided on a rescue mutt because it felt right. Now we got both!

Most of the dogs on this forum are Staffordshire Bull Terriers, which is a different breed from the American Staffordshire Terrier. She looks a little lankier than an SBT, but all dogs do seem to grow differently. She is beautiful whatever she is!
