mystery dog illness from Sherwood Forest again ?

Post by ratty on Fri Aug 26, 2011 9:38 am

for anyone who walks their dog in the Sherwood Forest area,
see this link http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-11435149

it's about dogs falling ill, when visiting the area,
better safe than sorry,

Ratty

Hi Steve,
i've looked on the BBC Nottingam webpage, but cant find anything on there about it,
it may not be the same thing as occured last year, as several dogs died as a result of visiting the area, although some who were affected recovered ok,
the experts seem to have ruled out it being caused by a man made toxin, and seem to think that it's a natural occuring substance that is to blame,

we were in sherwood yesterday on a long walk, but luckily none of the dogs showed any signs of iillnes (just tired by the time they got home whew! )

lets hope its just a one off, and its not connected to last years events, and no more dogs succumb to it this year.

Ratty.
