my dog farts is this commen in staffis

is it common in staffis to fart all the time

Yes, they are the most windy and smelly dogs i know!

YES.....they do tend to be able to clear a room.

Diet can play a part in how often or how smelly they are

What do you feed as this can really effect trumps (what goes in must come out )
Mine dont do it much and when they do its not that bad

Suki does fart alot. Okay by me because I have someone to blame mine on

Saxon used to have some really bad gas, but when I switched his food it got a lot better. Now he rarely farts, but when he does it is far from pleasant. Bully Breeds in general tend to be gassy, I think it may be due to sensitive stomachs.

Strangely my boy doesn't, but he's the first of my staffs not to. Maybe its to do with diet. I feed him JWB and my previous dogs were on Iams and before that tinned food and that was lethal stuff for gas.

My lad used to constantly when on dry food, but since we've switched he very rarely does it now, THANKFULLY!

Mine are both on JWB and get exactly the same treats exercise etc, Kaos honestly doesnt fart at all but Ty......OMG! x

Summer, even at just 8 weeks can clear a room in 10 seconds, she had us all heaving the other day, am surprised how something so small can produce such a terrible stink!

Haha, same. Saff was doing it all day yesterday in our shop, we went through a full can of airfreshener so we didn't scare the customers away.... Haha.

Bruno can clear a room when he farts and sometime he actually made a fart noise

depends on the food.
when mambo was having the food that was bad for him (we didn't know that then) he would fart all the time. now he does that only after having too many treats

lemmy can stink the house out when he starts. the best one was the other day my husband bent down and lemmy walked past and farted when his backside was infront of my husbands face lovely .... really need to teach the boy some manners

Omg so glad I found this. I never knew this but Tinkerbell absoultely stinks, hence the new name sitnerbell! We thought there was something wrong with the waterworks up here because her farts smell of sewage

My dogs can clear a room. Sometimes it is so bad I nearly gag. I sat down for some lunch today while they lay at my feet. Halfway through my leftover shepards pie one of them let go of the smelliest toxic gas I have ever had the pleasure of smelling. It was so bad that I lost my appetite. It is my fault though. I was eating summer sausage last night with cheese and mini pickles.
Every bite I had they had one also.

invest in a decent air freshner lots of fabreeze and dont use your daughters body spray perfume when you run out or she will moan at ya..........wel i had to neutralise the farty smell some how

Lol we have acquired a load of air freshners and all are ready to hand when Tinkerbell lets one go. One of hers was so bad the other night, I had to get her off me and move to the other side of the room! She farts on the settee then sniffs it before licking the settee where she has farted, strange dog!

Many moons ago a family member had a staff who was sooo overweight (the owner loved him TOO much). His botty burps were disgusting to the point of almost being sick. Windows had to be left open when he came to stay lol. He also grunted like a pig when sniffing around lol

He fit his name perfect though...Butch!

I am paying £500 for mine but the other blue has gone for £1000. There were 2 in the littler, I had the female and everyone was fighting over the male. Someone said they will pay £1000 for him. But the breeder has said he feels guilty so is gonna drop the price lol.

Some people do over price them which is a shame, but at least with the over pricing it ensures the dog goes to someone who really can afford to have dog and hopefully goes to a good home

Lol Tinkerbell grunts when sniffing too. It is really noisy especially when out on a walk. We don't think she was taken out much by the previous owner, so she has her head to the ground sniffing the whole way round to explore the area!

Think I will go on Dragons Den with some kind of tail mounted air freshener device - by the sounds of things, we all need one! The other day Violet smelled SO NASTY that our sinus started to sting. Yuck.

Ruby farted up the stairs the other night! It was like when you run and a fart comes out I broke down on the stairs wetting my self laughing (not literally) and ruby sat on the top of the stairs looking at me like I was the one that did it!!!!!! Cheeky moo!! Xxxxx

Bruno was up for £800 then £600 then just over £300
My avatar at the moment is Bruno's dad, he just gawjus to look at, hoping Bruno is going to look like him

I remember hearing or seeing somewhere on TV(forget which) that the best neutraliser for dogs gas is to strike a matchstick in the room,blow it out and wave it around a bit like a joss stick. Something to do with the phosphor in it from what I can remember. Can't say if it's true though cos I still have 1 more day to go before picking Spartan up.
