I dreamt last night that a dog was barking and biting me, then the dog started chocking. When I woke up it was actually Gus being sick. He threw up a large (very large) piece of rope. He has been off his food for a couple of days and has been absolutely stinking the house out. So happy he managed to clear it out by himself and a valuable lesson to us that nothing is safe left out anymore Surprised

He is fine now thanks. Just a wake up call for us to be more careful in future. I can't believe he managed to swallow a bit that big.

Gizmo ate a wetwipe whole. I only discovered what he did when it got stuck coming out halfway. I had to pull it out and I've never been so grateful I carry extra bags with me in my life.

I don't even know how he got hold of it, we put them straight in the bin.

He's also chewed up and eaten plastic coathangers, an entire bag of cumin seeds (that was a fragrant couple of weeks) and the traditional shoes.

The 1st thing my vet said to me on Katy's 1st visit was, if she is sick check it to see what she has eaten as staffies are well known to swallow things!!! So glad he brought it up Big Grin

Yes you never know what they will try and chew next.Quite a few years ago one of my staffs swallowed a pyjama cord, when he was doing his job I couldn't understand what this bit of cord with a knot was hanging out his behind, and him jumping all over the place because he couldn't move it.When I grabbed the end to help him I was part way across the garden by the time it all came out.Honestly, the things we do to keep our staffs happy. Aww I'm so glad the rope came out. Once out a walk Saxon ate a net thing like get on joints of meat. I took him to emergency vet, he got a jab but never sicked the net up. I was so worried, I had to check his poo for 3 days before seeing vet again. Luckily it passed on day 3. I will never forget the strange looks I got from passer byes as I frantically delved thru poops breaking them up lol
