Whoop orange title!!!

Lexi is 11 now and still looks like a 5yo. Since her big accident, she has never recovered the full mobility in her leg, but it doesn't stop her! Shes a bit more obedient but probably more due to the fact my dad feeds her treats a lot. She does not keep her weight on as easily these days, so the treats are very much fine. We have phased out the crate she was in when recovering, and would be a little stressed in. We were a bit afraid cause a) she was fouling in it a lot (changed diet...not had one issue since) b) she would chew anything as always been a destroyer; not touched anything that is "necessary" but has had a go at the bin now and then but she may have had a larger accomplice! Laughing c) she would rush for peoples feet, as she always did...which was the biggest worry because i have a mobility impaired sister who is always the first up. So far, she has not got up once. Both dogs are now in such a routine that if you are in the kitchen before "breakfast" time they don't even open an eye to look at you. So far everything is working out great Big Grin 90% of the time she is snoring :p

Really glad to hear she's doing well, Hayley. Dogs were put on this earth to worry the life out of us, drain our bank accounts, frazzle our nerves but most of all to let us to care for them when they're sick.

Looking good in orange there Hayley Cool

Sounds like things are really settled at yours now and it must be so nice not having the added stress of telling the dogs what they can or cannot do. I think you're 100% right, they do get so much calmer with age and seem to just know what's allowed etc.
