Pond is at the far left side of the garden its 3mts long x 2mts wide x 1.5 mts deep its dug into the ground as well as built up

Steve Pond set up 1061712097_photobucket_36805_

its the 3rd pond i've had, its the 1st one i've had build up out of the ground my others have been ground level more natural ponds

The reason i went for this type is its better for viewing the fish at the far end is the filter and UV box(the filter goes through 4 stages of filtration), down the left hand side there are 4 air stones to aerate the water they are at different levels under the water

That is a lovely pond and I miss mine so much cause 2 months ago my hubby decided to put a rockery were the pond was he gave away the fish to his mate 5 star home and built a bloody awful rockery but the garden isnt big as I claimed most for the stables so its his domain and I got to go along with it Sad

you have got a big garden mate,

the amount of fish depends on the size of fish and you filter, i have about 24 at the moment and it looks nicely stocked not to many and not to empty if its over stocked you get water quality problems and it can restrict the growth of the fish, you could put 100 1" fish in there but as they grow you'd have to thin out the amount of fish to allow the others to grow

decent garden you can see about 1/2 of it of the pics

Very impressive pond though. Does it take a lot of maintaining ????

Not a great deal i clean the filter box out once a year, keep the water topped up, the 1st year is the hardest once its all up and running it can look after itself really, the bigger the pond or tank the less it needs looking after, if you have a fish bowl with no filters you have to do it weekly, but as the tanks or ponds get bigger you do it less
