Halti collor - loving it
I bourght Ruby a halti collor about a month ago because when I'm out walking with anyone else she pulls horendously. 'not liking not being the centre of attention'
She doesn't like it and tries to bite if off for a few minutes but settles down and she walks so nicly.
I've just read the wonder harness post though and am now thinking of that

It's amazing how well the right harness etc works, it's almost like a revelation. I think with some it's a comfort thing. If you find something that's comfortable and works I'd stick to that but if you think the wonder harness could be even better then why not try it

Id say with the halti or anything do a test run in a secure place and test run the things before a walk do this a few times before venturing out and positive association with the training aid using your voice and or treats will help as well

I never really liked using the Halti on my last dog, as it always seemed to pull just under her eyes and didn`t look at all comfortable for her.
Now, as Ian says, the wonder harness is an absolute revelation and i would advise anyone to get one.

I'm halti training Katy for the last 2 weeks, she hates it but she's not pulling. She spends a bit of time trying to roll or rub it off then forgets about it for a while. she's let off in the fields & try's to avoid me when we get back to the last gate but a treat does wonders
