This little girl breaks my heart
Merick is 9 years old. I believe she was picked up as a stray. She's very unhappy in the kennels. She doesn't bark, pace, ping around like some dogs do, she just sits switched off. She is depressed.
She had a skin condition when she came in and was rather bald round her tail, but it's doing well and her hair is growing back. She's a tad overweight too!
Unfortunately, Merick's reaction to other dogs isn't great, but if there is anyone out there, or you know of anyone, who is currently dogless (and catless!) and has a Merick sized hole in their lives, please contact the Danaher staff on 0300 111 4321.

I know. I wish I could too. I find it really hard walking past her kennel - if she was ok with dogs I'd at least try to foster her.

Hmmm... you may feel you need to put your hankies back now. Merick seems to have undergone a bit of a transformation!
I knew she was looking better so wanted to redo her shots for that. I didn't quite expect a little piglet bombing round the compound with a super huge grin on her face!!! Actually, that got my hankie out, it was magical to see.
Even though she's no so sad and uncomfortable any more, she'd still love a home.
