We rescued a puppy last month. We aren't sure what he is but he appears to be a Staffy mix.

it really hard to tell if you dont know what the mum and dad, but with a red nose like that i will put money on being a cross lab x staffy or he got some Dogue De Bordeaux X staffy

Mines a rescue too, doesn't look like a traditional staff but amazing all the same, I think Ottos lovely welcome to the forum x

I'd go with the lab x staff, as the head doesn't seem massive enough for the dogue de bordeaux. Gorgeous boy, though!

he could have abit of bordeaux in him, his eye and around it look abit bordeaux-ish but my eyes are playing up abit

Whatever he is he looks gorgeous and I'm sure you'll create many wonderful memories together.
Well done on the rescue

The vet thinks he is a Viszla/Staffy mix. It's had to say. There are several stray/ lost hunting dogs (hounds and bull terirers) in our area. His mother was a stray and appears to be a hound perhaps a Vizsla mix. She was pregnant when she was found. Two weeks later she had her litter of 10 puppies. Otto was the largest and first one adopted.


I will post a more recent photo. He is much bigger and thicker now.
