When my sister in law weaned her jrt pups she soaked good quality puppy kibble in puppy milk then blended it up to a runny liquid then gradually made the mixture thicker as they got used to it and then made it lumpyer etc until they ended up on just the dry kibble x

I soaked a good puppy food for weaning pups in hot water mashed it all together so there were no lumps waited for it to cool and fed them that then gradually leave the odd lumps in there until their on solid food. I also started when they were 4 weeks as the weaning pup food only said to start as 4 weeks not 3.

Same here. You can also introduce some rice pudding to get them used to different tastes.

Nif recently had a litter of pups, and should be able to say what the pups were weaned with.

Mine had - mashed kibble with hot water 9soft to begin with gradually mashing it less), scrambled eggs, rice pudding, natures diet wet dog food and towards the end of their weaning chicken wings which they used to tear at with their little teeth, make a massive mess with and not really eat much of!
