Lift him away (firmly but gently) from whatever he's humping and tell him "No!", then distract him with a toy or something (not a treat).

If he's humping dogs (or trying to), then he's probably testing out his boundaries and trying to establish a dominance. As above if he's on the lead; if he's not then call him back to you and if he returns to you, then he can have a treat for coming back to you. Most dogs won't appreciate being humped though and will tell Diesel so!

Lynda's advice is good. Smile Using a toy is often the most successful method, as they provide a rewarding distraction, rather than just a reward. Using something like a treat only presents a reward, which means dogs can sometimes associate humping with getting a treat and so they might do it more often. Using a toy distracts them from the actual activity of humping. Smile

Agree with the advice above ... will add that along with the appropriate action, it does take some patience and consistent responses to make progress with the humping Smile

Can't add more. Just be aware that neutering won't stop behaviours, humping is dominance too not just sexual

Even after neutering it can be sexual as well, Much to my complete surprise i found Marley tied Laska on her last season and he's been done a year. although testicals are the main source of sexual hormones they still get produced elsewhere in the body.
