Crying Have my Puppy now 2 Weeks ;-)

Post by Sky007 Sat Aug 31 2013, 20:46

Hello to All!

I have my Puppy Sky now for 2 Weeks.
Houstrain: A littel better now, but need more House training to be clean inside. Pee Nights in his Cage, but the Cage its big. Pee in House to, always in other Places. Need more Time, i know.

One thing its a bit hard for me. He like to Play with my Shoes and Pants. Or bite in my Hand. Take my Shoes and pull like crazy. When you take him off (Neck grip), he goes often mad, growling at me. Again and again, never give up. Stop or No= zero reaction.
I take him of my Shoes, friendly but firm. I stop to play with him and let him alone.
I know its normal for Puppys, but i hope he learn this quickly. Because he does it not only with me, with Friends too. Is perhaps a little better than in the first days.
Hope i get this away, not good when big Sky do this ;-(

What u think? How much Time need this?

Good Points: At Night he learn very fast, he let me sleep 4 Houres at Piece.
I train to let him alone, he not Bark very long when i let him alone. He have never diarrhea. Really good here.
He Chew everything he can find on Streets, old Chewing Gums, Cigaretts, Stones and much more. Some Stuff i think he eat too, not only Chew. Yesterday he Chew something outdoor, i take it out of his Mouth, it was a Paperclip... Iam carefull, but its not easy. Its that normal?

Thank you.
Regards geri and sky

These things do take time, this may help with the biting

I haven't had a puppy myself but I'm sure others will be able to offer more advise Smile

Hi, Follow the advice given in the link above and it will start to come together. When Bacchus was 10 weeks old my daughter and grandson came to visit. I went out for 30 mins and when I came back they wer sitting on the settee with their feet tucked under them to get away from him. He had been terrorizing them, biting their feet and chasing them. He soon grew out of this with discipline and now at 13 months is very gentle. It will get better.

Thank you for the link ! I read it now.

@reuben
Exactly like Sky. LoL ;-)
My Mother and Sister can not handle him, A Real Shoe Terrorist. But Sky know i dont tolerate this, but when my Mother comes Sky its the Boss ;-)

New "Tick" : Sky think my Leg or Arm is his Girlfriend. A littel to soon for this or not? Chance to stop this behavior? How you handle this?

Thank you :-)

He doesn't think your arm or leg is his girlfriend. At this age it is not sexual, dogs and puppies do this to try to assert dominance over each other. Don't allow him to do this as he is testing boundaries. A firm "NO" worked with Bacchus. He very quickly learned that it would not be tolerated by me, although it took a little longer to stop him trying this with my wife.
