Do you feed raw fresh meat or freeze it first

I understand that many raw feeders will buy in stock that is already froozen,i have not got round to that yet but before i order my bulk i have been buying fresh meat from local supermarket and feeding the pup on that which he loves,just clicking around google last night as i like to know everything i can about what im doing,it seems that your probably best to freeze the meat for a set number of days, i know parasites in food would be more common in other places of the world but from what i read it can very much lead to death in your dog.

Should i be freezing meat all the time no matter what

people say your better to freeze it for atleast 3 days if you have the time to do that but i dont think it matters that much. sometimes if im out and i buy him like chicken thighs i would freeze them but give him one that day which hasnt been and its been fine. Ella or somebody will be able to help you out much more but i think its fine to feed on the day of purchase.

If you're buying human grade food then there's no need to freeze it as long as it's reasonably fresh.

If you're using game (rabbit, pheasant etc) then I'd freeze it first.

I'm not fussed over freezing if i'm going to feed it, I give fresh raw all the time. I have fed fresh game to and will continue to do so

With some of the crap my two eat while in the woods they should have been dead ages ago according to some websites... like the time I caught marley slopping at a hole in a dear head....discusting lil git. Freezing game will minimise parasites but they have a gut designed for eating crap tbh and it digests and passes through very quick.thats not yo say they are immune from everything they eat, slugs and snails etc carry far more worrying nasties than a dead rabbit.
