Doggy diapers Empty Doggy diapers

Post by julespercules on Sun May 19 2013, 23:55

Hi all

My Tash is coming into season just as I was supposed to be going to visit my parents and stay at their house this weekend. Her last season we just coped with the mess but I know that my parents will not be excited about the thought of taking tash over there in season.

So I thought about getting some diapers/hygiene pads so what im asking is are they worth it, has anyone given them a go and do the dogs keep them on. Also what do you do when the dog needs to go for a wee or a poo?

What ones do you think are good, if any?

They where a god send, we used Mika hygiene pants, she only wore them when indoors and over night so it didn't affect toileting.

Saved a lot of mess on the carpets and furniture Smile

The only problem with them is that if she takes badly to them and rips them up they are a nightmare to clean up.

I used the Mika pants when Maisey came into season. However, her first (and last??) season was so heavy I had to use normal sanitary towells as the pads supplied were not quite up to the job. Likewise, we only used them indoors and at night and they were an absolute god send. She didn't like them, I would have to say, but they did stay intact.

I personally wouldn't leave them on overnight - it would be better to restrict her to one cleanable area so that she can clean herself, be a little more comfortable & get some air to her bits!

hmmm brought some doggy diapers from pets at home, the wrong size Sad She does not like them at all and at £10 a go, not sure whether to try the right size Sad Hate seasons will be getting her done straight after. Wouldn't put them on normally, would just deal with the mess but im going to me mums and she's not enthralled at having dogs in her house anyway let alone one in season! How do you get them to leave them alone?

If I remember rightly, and I am going back nearly 5 years, the Mika one was quite tight and although Maisey hated it, she couldn't get it off. Took it off when she was out in the garden, or on walks, etc, but in the house she had to wear it as I just could not keep up with the mess she made. It was like Texas chainsaw masacre Sad

She had the run of the house and she wouldn't have understood it if she was suddenly shut up somewhere so this was the lesser of the two evils as far as we were concerned.

She only had one season, that was definitely enough ???
