Whats the best colour of carpet?

I have cream carpet throughout my house, it doesnt show up hairs but i have to wipe paws constantly. Does any one have any tips or suggestions on colours or if wood/laminate is better?

I'm the same as you, forever cleaning dirty paw marks off......

I know, swear by them lol. Cream carpets and a muddy dog don't really mix!

lol!!Ours is like a biscuit colour (military house so i cant really change it!) but it does hide lots of marks!! lol.

Only really muddy paw marks show up.Like if its been raining and we go on the muddy field and he comes in!!

I have a beech laminate all through my house. The laminate is good, i think anyway but would definatley go for a darker one like oak effect or something. Actually before my dad died he had his house done in this vinyl stuff, they lay it in small like stripes like laminate so if needs replacing u dont have to do the whole lot and its oak effect and really textured like proper wood. It looked lush and was fantastic with his 2 dogs, not as slippery as laminate but much easier to clean than carpet lol

ive just changed the whole house to laminate ,,,, no more scrubbing carpets

we have floorboards, which have been great so far, but i think that maybe in a year we would need the re varnishing.

Not good cream carpets and a muddy dog lol we have solid oak flooring which is great and easy to clean but in the bedroom I have cream carpet well they were cream not so much any more lol.

I have tiles down,no carpets here! i have hard enough time getting hairs of the sofa and the bed,never mind carpets

Lol cream with patches, its defo the best. I was thinking of getting laminate but thought all the hairs would show up more.

I've been in my new place since October, and I have not carpeted any where yet as I wanted my doggie first, I've always had laminate before with other dogs but they do tend to slip and slide all over the place. But this time I'm opting for carpet, even if I do have to get it cleaned regularly, it's more warm with carpet. Plus my deecor is red, cream and black, so you can guess which colour carpet I'm getting

I think all staffies/bullies use the same place! They all seem to like wallowing in mud - the more stagnant the better!

i think one of those 70's carpets would be best, multi coloured and full of flowers, you can't see any muck on them

iv got laminite thro out the house...easy to keep clean,but it can be noisy, have said to the wife about getting carpet,but no joy yet....

my mate has got littile dog wellys for his jack russel to keep his white carpet in his hallway clean from dog mud.... seems to work...

Oak laminate for me and the dogs love sliding around on it

or no carpet like us our floor is still the same as when we moved in last april 2010, but we'll be getting it when the lounge is decorated and Bruno is housetrained , we're get it laminate

I'm not from a "carpet country" so I wouldn't have carpet floors if you paid me to. I just imagine all the horrors it's hiding.. Here it's tiles and vinyl floors, when we move we get laminate and wood floors.

Downstairs, everywhere is laminate, the best quality and a lovely light oak, have rugs , but these can easily be cleaned. this means I can relax, and not fuss, and Zak can be forever in and out, the cat can be sick on it (and she is) muddy paw marks are easily dealt with, also although I love my boys doggy nif, don't really want the carpets smelly. I am not really as bad as this sounds.

Chocholate brown theme throught anywhere in the house the dogs go lol, brown carpets rule when you have dogs lol.

Erm yeah laminate and wood floors are good for certain stuff but not great through the whole house dogs slide everywhere on them. An although easy to clean they still show up marks loads, hair and general dust collects fast too.

We have got laminate flooring down all way through our house we carnt have carpet with the 3 dogs the only place we have carpet is the stairs and landing and thats a very dark blue carpet my oh is very house proud so he wipes there paws at back door when we have bad weather
