Buying Bruiser hes first collar
Hi as we walk Bruiser on harness and he is not yet off the lead he doesn't have a collar. However i think its time to get one, im planning on getting a leather staffy bull terrier one from ebay?
Anyways i was wondering can he keep the collar on at all times? i wasn't sure if he can go to sleep in hes crate etc with it one still?
Thanks

I don't use a crate but sometimes hers stays on and sometimes off, depending whether I remember or not lol, usually always off over night though
just get a collar thats adjustable because they grow out of them rather fast at a young age

Always off in the crate. They can get stuck sometimes. Not good for puppies!
We take Logans off in the house just so he can relax. But always back on when he is out and about.

Mouse never doesnt have a collar on, so it really is down to what you want to do.

Same here, the only time Molly's comes off is when it gets wet from swimming. I agree with getting him an adjustable one, also, be careful of leather, they can rub the skin and cause sores. Molly has to wear a padded fabric one now as her leather ones and anything with a large buckle/clasp rubbed on her skin.

Don't leave it on in the crate, dogs have hung themselves with collars on in the crate

I no personally of a dog that got hung in his crate by his collar - not nice! Defo get a lightweight cheap adjustable one while hes still so little and growing so quickly, a leather one will be a waste of money at the moment with him growing so fast and also be un comfortable for pup x
