Mighty Balls Empty Mighty Balls

Post by Guest on Thu Feb 07 2013, 14:51

Thought I'd just share a review on a product from 'pets at home' I recently purchased.
Mighty Ball's - £9

Really good so far.. More of an indoor ball in my opinion due to the fact because its fabric it would get very dirty outdoors..
There are many layers to the ball and in rated 10 on the durability scale which is 10/10.
Its a great squeaky ball that is strong enough to last. Ramsey loves it Smile

It is as they advertize, absolutely tough to the very core! The outer "shell" (the fabric) could potentially bunch up and eventually be torn off, but then there is another layer underneath! It's like getting two toys in one, with the added bonus of ZERO fillers to worry about once the fabric layer is removed.

Ive put below front and back photos of the product which better describe what it is.

£9
.. It's fabric so it will get dirty outside quickly but it can be washed.. Better indoors IMO.

This is tried and tested..

I've put the pictures so you can read how durable this ball is.. Don't judge how soft it looks because its strong.

I was going to buy this as it said 10/10 tuffness on pets at home website - then I read the reviews and not good - most dogs managed to destroy it so I know Densil would have.

It's £9 at the end of the day.. Ramsey has ripped it apart but the ball beneath is still going because he's playing with it not eating it

PAH are good at giving refunds if a toy isn't up to scratch> I had one of the yellow and black ruff and tuff rope thing tug and they shredded it in about 5 mins and I got a refund. I will definitely try one when I go next Big Grin

I'm reluctant to spend £9 on something that is likely to get great chunks taken out of it & swallowed! I'm not dissing it, Jason, just don't think it's something I'd try for Dempsey, it's too dangerous.

It's too durable to just chew up and swallow.. Obviously if you have a dog who is left with it for hours and wants to eat plastic then it isn't the right toy..
This is a fetch ball so a dog shouldn't really have the chance to just sit there and eat it..

You haven't seen Dempsey when he gets going! He doesn't 'do' fetch. He does 'run after it, get it in your mouth & chomp hell out of it!'

Believe me, if he can get his teeth even slightly around it, he'll tear it to shreds. Sad

If you don't believe me, ask Eleanor!

Same here with Densil - I have tried teaching him to fetch and drop - he might do it once or twice and then he just runs off with it and starts chewing it. We have one of those boomer balls which are hard solid plastic and he has even chewed that so it so rough it is like sandpaper!
