Has anyone used one of these for their Staffy? How have you found them?

Our old boy would go in the crate in the boot when we went out but I am tempted to get one of these so the dog can join the rest of us in the seating area.

Do they hold them in place and can you use them from a pup ?

What size do you reckon for a Staffy ?

Can you use them as a walking harness or are they purely for travelling?

Now I should get some work done rather than browsing dog products Rolling Eyes Big Grin

Thanks in advance kiss

Sarah

I think they are a great idea. Up until recently Logan has sat on the front seat beside me and it's his favourite place in the world, he loves to sit and look out at everyone. It has been so wet and muddy lately he has found himself in the boot. I got one of those universal boot guards, which is totally useless.

Come summer time I'm def gonna get a car harness as I can't help but worry what would happen if I crashed my car...

I would suggest popping in and trying it on. The only thing to bare in mind is your pup will be growing at a tremendous rate in the next few months so it'll not fit her for too long.

Thank you for that Smile I may put her in the crate until she is a bit older and then buy one when I know she won't grow much more.

Good plan. Most harnesses are very adjustable. I swear by mine. The crate in the boot sounds totally ideal though, and very safe. Just remember to take off her collars etc in the crate. Smile

Also a good idea! I'm hoping that my work is going to get me a wee van because the car is getting destroyed driving back and forth. If they do I'll be having two crates in it, one for my dog and one for my girlfriends lol.

I use a car harness for Harry, but I have a friend who is a fireman and he said that in the event of a bad accident where the firemen are called, they find it easy to remove a dog from a car that is in a crate. As you can imagine, a stressed frightened staffie who has just been in a car accident is not going to be easy to get out if he's in the back seat.

Unfortunately I can't get a crate in my car.
