Re: Kong safestix
They do seem to be pretty tough. Dempsey isn't allowed to have his all the time, but so far he's only managed to chew a small lump off one end - the rest is still in one piece!

Re: Kong safestix
Ledger did the same then started to split the twists off into chunks and left them all over the park!

Re: Kong safestix
I just got one for Densil off Amazon. Not tried it out yet as too snowy. Just started using a 23ft training lead with him, so when snow goes am going to take stick out with me - he isn't very good at retrieving though, he usually runs off with stuff. The stick is very long and bright orange - think I am going to get some funny looks on our walk to the park as I have nowhere to hide it, lol.

Re: Kong safestix
I had to walk down the street with it in my hand. Looked even worse when he chewed one end off

Re: Kong safestix
For Blue I need a nlyabone or stag bar shaped as a stick. Only 2 things he can't chew into pieces in 2 mins

Re: Kong safestix
Well I thought densil was a strong chewer - he even managed to get a chunk out of a kong ball, but he has had the kong safestix a while now and has been chewing at it and not managed to get any bits of yet - just a few teethmarks, so am well impressed. It never worked as a fetch toy, but then again nothing does.

Re: Kong safestix
We've got one for our 2 but they had litle interest in chasing it , it does say it is not to be used as a chew toy though so I just assumed it wouldn't make the distance

Re: Kong safestix
Me and Ramsey play tug of war everyday with it and he loves chewing it. I recommend this as a play you not a chew toy as it would become boring but it won't break at all
