Niff the best way to take a good pic is to climb in the tank and take the pic from underwater thumbs up

you may , i inherited a plec of aroud 6 inches off my dad , which on the first night completely dug up all my tank , so it got switched to my other tank that has no ug filter , and put on gumtree free to good home , someone swapped me it for 3 fem kribs , couple of corys and a few neons , now if i got a male krib and had him in a community tank with fems and he decided to breed which they do readily then almost certainly id have ended up with a whole load of dead/injured fish as it is now the females are very peaceful , however the kribs are going to live in my mates tank this weekend and he is getting a male to have a go at breeding , like yourself he has 5 tanks , ive got 3 but only have the one set up at the mo .

ps , one of my fem swords has had a sex change , now growing a sword lol and the whole anal fin area has changed . so she will be an infertile he now

my step has a 61/2 foot tank build into his wall he did have loads even marine but now he only got silver dollars back when he had marine he had five of these shark mini things i'll have to ask him what they were called.
never mind i know what they were bamboo sharks. he said he'll never it again though keeping the temp/salt accurate was a nightmare.

My boss has a large pond in his garden with some Koi in it (and some goldfish - I can't tell the difference!), and they do fine in the cold as long as they have sufficient depth & a layer of air between the water & any ice on top.

I know how to sustain them on average but these countries are just horrble especially wales we're lucky to get 6 weeks of summer and even inbetween it can be to cold to be called summer.

They're ok as long as the water doesn't freeze solid - they just go torpid. Even in the big freeze we had before Christmas they were ok.

Its true Kribs do become very aggressive when they have babies, especially to tetras and other cichlids. I have a breeding pair in my community tank (no space for them to have their own!) and they like to nibble the other fish. They have about 2/3 s of a 4 1/2 foot tank and the other fish all hide in the corner!

Wow about the transexual swordtail, I never knew they could do that. Is it common? Why would he/she do that?

im really not sure why they do it , my dads right up on his fish , funny he phoned the other week saying how one of his swords was changing , then sure enough i noticed 1 of mine doing the same , males dont change to fems only fems to males and then they are infertile males , strange , but i know sometimes rainbow trout do the same thing .
the kribs are gone now , and my tank seems alot happier even though the kribs weren't a problem maybe my fish felt threatened by them ,

do you have any japanese hillstream loach aka japanese butterfly fish , hong kong plec ? really nice little fish and when you have a few very playfull , change colour on a whim cool wee dudes

i find the best way of taking pics of my tank is on a night time have your tank lights on and switch off the lights in the room and dont use the flash on the camera.
