Thinking about a new PC
First topic message reminder :
My PC is ancient now (Dell) but has served me well so I'm thinking its time to get my wallet out . Just need a decent average home pc without all the fancy bells and whistles but quick, anyone got any good suggestions , recent experiences at the moment . Probably a bases station only as I have all the bits though I may get a new monitor.
Can't decide whether to go back to Dell or not, and not sure whose ripping me off on ther high street, seem to be a few new names on the market these days and Asus seem to figure quite well ???

Re: Thinking about a new PC
to be fair that not a bad setup steve76 more mid road than low endthe 550 graphics card get looked over now becouse people think in is getting a bit old but truth is it will handle the latest gaming graphics with no problems at all infact its better than some newer one twice the price
.patriot Ddr3m will be reliable
.good mid range motherboard
only little niggle (but just to me lol)the bulldozer chip 50/50 chance that may not work with free win8 update microsoft promising to send out to new pc buyers(to be honest not really a biggy as i like win7 but also like freebies lol)

Re: Thinking about a new PC
After having windows based pc's for about 15 years, I finally decided to buy a mac last year and so glad I did. Would never go back to microsoft and windows again.

I ve heard many people say this and if I had the spare cash I would be doing it too.
