Shedding Blade for grooming Empty Shedding Blade for grooming

Got a shedding blade today after a recomendation from one of the people we met on a walk. Marley has a weird coat which is Staffy short up to his forlegs and then his guard hair and undercoat go quite long and deep like a husky. I have been using a rubber mitt for back end and a fine tooth comb for his front which did quite well but he was always still shedding lots afterwards.
The blade costs £6.49 and is like a curved double edged saw blade and its fantastic. Just spent over an hour with marley and now have a garden full of fluff and a dog that looks about 5kg thinner lol. the ammount he lost from his neck was amazing and the small sized teath were really good on his back end. have to say one of the best dog related buys I've made in terms of performace.

No hes a Staffy cross Husky hence all the fur, he has a double coat which is really thick around his neck and was a pain to groom the rest of him is short double coat. the guy that told me about it uses it on his staffy and black labs. he can only do one half of his staffy at a time because she falls asleep against a railway sleeper in his garden while he grooms her and wont budge Big Grin

Can anyone tell me what they're like on Staffies with a short coat please?

I flat share at the moment and both me and my friend are allergic so I was wondering if this would help him (Mines is only an inconvenience)

Thanks x

they work well on a short coat, I used it on riley (mastiff X staff) who has a short single coat and it worked a treat on him. the blade has has two sizes of teath and I used the small size on him.
