Alot of people have dogs that do that so it's completly normal.

Sounds quite normal to me. Rocky follows my hubby everywhere too. It's like he is a shadow sometimes. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

same, if we are all sat in the same room and someone goes out, they get a shadow. Lola is worse with my dad to be honest, but he does fuss over her something rotten

Inca has a routine with me of a morning ...
When i come down stairs first thing in the morning i get a lovely doggy welcome from my two girls (inca & sky) but it is only inca who follows me into the bathroom (downstairs) and stands with me while i nip to the loo (might i add she luvs me fussing her while i'm on the loo !
) but the minute i flush the loo an open the bathroom door , off she toddles back to the couch lookin quite happy with herself ... while sky prefers to sit right outside the bathroom door an wait for me there !!!
Our friendly little adorable shadows haha !!

Re: my little follower
If he follows behind you, he sees you as the leader and is following you cos that's just what they do. If he's following you but not behind you, he's probably just clingy
either way it's not a bad thing at all.

Re: my little follower
same here, my little 'bean follows me around, and she's about the same age as your Chester. i hope she doesn't outgrow it, I think it's very sweet and seems natural. she can be left alone in her kennel too if needed, so not separation anxiety or anything like that (so far - fingers crossed!). she hasn't gotten too boisterous or demanding about being with me or sitting on my lap either (which means i have to move to the floor and let her cuddle on my legs) so as long as that all stays about even and she can be OK with when I don't move to the floor or tell her to stay behind, i think it should be fine.

Bruiser is the same, if i move into another room and he is comfy asleep on the sofa- he jumps off and follows, he waits outside the loo for me and all sorts. i do think staffes are quite clingy dogs to be honest- they just love people dont they

I heard someonere refer to STaffy's as the velcro dog, and I do see why. My Halo is attached to my leg allthe time, in the kitchen, follows me everywhere even if it is across the room to get a drink or the remote control. In the kitchen it can be dangerous so I got her boundry at the carpet before you enter the kitchen. She has to see me tho, if she doesn't she starts talking to me (kinda funny but annoying. This is the way these dogs are but some are more sticky than usual....so yes, it is normal.....just enjoy the fact that someone worships the ground you walk on...

My Blue follows me everywhere, As soon as I move he looks up and if I walk out the room of he comes too.
My EBT was exactly the same, followed me everywhere and had to be touching you, either leaning against my leg or sitting on my foot.
I think its a Bully's Breed thing as other owners I talk to do the same. I think its an endearing quality in them.

Frosty and Monte follow me everywhere and wait for me always. Pigglette does her own thing and comes for affection when she wants it. Each is different, but totally normal to have a shadow... or two...

Tommy will wander off in the house and do his own thing , but normally sleep time he will always come and settle by me as there is a bed for him in my office. Tilly on the other hand follow me everywhere, at the moment she is tucked up behind me snoozing on my office chair so I am perched on the edge when I'm writing.
This has a good effect when we are out walking as they never wander , apart from a bit of squirrel chasing or greeting dogs if we don't see them in time

Same here. Charlie follows me around everywhere in the house and when we're out, he'll trot off for a sniff at everything but is always looking back. If he thinks I'm too far back, he'll trot right back to me. I love this quality in them
