introducing Miss Saffie Potter

Saffie was rescued by one of our members Shropshire Staffies.. Her owner didnt want her and she was taken to Birmingham dogs home, diagnosed with senile vesticular disease, aged about 12, we picked her up and brought her home. she was very wobbley her back legs were very weak, our vets gave her a good examination and found her problem was probably caused by an injury or disc prob, and has she come on, she has been on our staffie awareness walk in Shrewsbury, still very weak but gets around very well once she ,s up and going, we dont help her she gets very angry if you try, so she does her own thing, she has learnt lots since being with us, and is now happy with our gang of 5 lurchers and 2 greyhounds, we foster for greyhound rescue, we called her Potter because of the way she potters about, first exsperience of a staffie so we are learning, but wow what a big personality

Hi and welcome from me, Millie and Bella They do have great personalities

Thanks to everyone for your messages, I must mention also we have a beautiful girl called Treacle, she came into our rescue kennels under a Lurcher flag very badley injured we think may be a badger, her face and lower jaw were hanging off it was difficult to know what she was, our brilliant vets put her back together, and now we can see she is a staffie cross, some say she looks like a ridge back, she has been with us now over 2 years and is a loyal and lovely girl, we still think of her as a lurcher, I will post some pics soon of both our girls witht their sight hound companions

Staffies arent really our thing, Sight hounds are our main area, mostly Lurchers and ex racing greyhounds, we are out in the summer at fetes and fun days raising funds for the rescue, But Saffie and Treacle just came along in need, and they have joined our pack they are so different in how they behave, we are enjoying their company and getting to know how they think, so different to the hounds

True, but I find rescuing people are gifted despite their favorite breed. Its a heart thing.
